View metadata and add tags to your entries to make it easier to search and organize your thoughts.

How to add tags
- Open an entry.
- Tap the cog icon (โ๏ธ) to open metadata.
- Add or remove tags as needed.
Types of tags
There are three types of tags:
- Automatic tags (not removable)
These include the date and entry type.
- Automatic tags (removable)
These include frameworks used while journaling.
- Custom tags
You can add your own tags, including location tags to identify where you were when you journaled.
Find entries using tags
You can sort and filter entries using tags.
- Tap the documents icon (๐) in the dashboard to view your entries
- Tap the sliders icon in the top right.
- Select the tags you want to filter by.

How to add tags to your entries
- Open an entry.
- Click the cog icon (โ๏ธ) in the bottom right of the screen to open the metadata section.
- Here, you can view, add, or remove tags.
- Click 'Add a tag' to view suggested tags and your previous tags. A counter shows how many times youโve used each tag.
There are three types of tags:
- Automatic tags that are not deletable (date and entry type)
- Automatic tags that are deletable (frameworks you used while journaling)
- Custom tags you can add.
On your Entries page, you can sort and filter entries using tags.
How to view metadata on your entries
- Open an entry.
- Click the cog icon (โ๏ธ) in the bottom right of the screen to open the metadata section.
Here youโll find details on:
- When your entry was created
- When your entry was last updated
- Your entryโs wordcount
- How much journaling time it took to make your entry
- You can export your entryโs metadata to PDF by clicking โExport PDFโ
- You can delete your entry by clicking โDeleteโ
